Comcast continues to act as if it has a monopoly (ironically, after I left, I got a notice that they were increasing Cable prices). For me, the last straw was when they imposed a data cap in the midst of a pandemic when we have two adults working from home and three kids going to school at home. Gigabit internet through Sonic is costing me half what Comcast used to cost me. I'd have been happy to keep my cable only, except that their service bundling is designed to force you to use their sub-par other services, so cable alone would have cost a ridiculous amount. I wound up subscribing to YouTube TV, and it turns out that streaming is both cheaper and, once I got the hang of it, easier than using cable. I no longer have to use my TiVo to record shows; I just click "add to library" and YouTube TV adds the show for me.
The downside, of course, is that YouTube TV doesn't have Pac-12 nets. Sling wasn't work it just for Pac-12 nets.
Oh, and did I mention how much better the customer service is for a smaller provider than a ginormous corporation? I call an actual number in Santa Rosa and talk to a real human being without waiting.

+1 on Sonic. Their customer support is great, they never quit until I am happy. Comcast data caps are nutso. They claim very few people reach that, but we were hitting it with normal usage.
