The Network was a brainchild of Reece Schoenfeld, a Movietone News whiz kid I met through my father who was the SF Fox Movietone bureau chief. Reece also basically created CNN although Turner takes all the credit. He also created People Magazine on TV and I shot a bunch of stories for the show.

I mean, I’ve been one of the biggest proponents of cancelling the season in light of the surge... and agree that this season has been farcical... and yet I still enjoy watching the games.  It’s not like me boycotting them will make the NCAA act differently.

Interesting. I have my guess on the host.  After 9/11, I watched a lot of cooking shows. Food is comfort. I love to eat.  And I enjoy cooking.  I just wish I could cook as well as I can eat!

Yes sir!  It could be an inter squad scrimmage and I would be watching. What the hell else are we doing? Watching pac12 replays from 2015? Watching the news on the impending end of the world? Debating politics on social media?

Composing and posting screeds on how bad Shaw is. That's way more fun than watching the games. ;-)
