The good news is that the concern about myocarditis in student athletes who get COVID-19 is pretty low; the researchers in this study found 2 student athletes with myocarditis out of 145 student-athletes tested (at the University of Wisconsin). Earlier estimates of the risk of myocarditis were much higher, so this study is reassuring, though it is a non-zero risk.
