Evens 1
Montoya 3
Ailey 9
Kostmayer 14
Spiekerkotter 29
That seems really good. Like top class in the country good. Is Evens the sort of difference maker that is so far ahead of everyone else as a freshman (like Catarina Macario) or is she merely really good.

Always hard to tell from hs rankings. Ironically, macario wasn't as heralded coming in as her classmates haley and Pickett but obviously well exceeded her recruiting profile. We have had other great top ranked recruits, like Andi Sullivan and Sophia Smith. We have also had others like Astrid Wheeler who hasn't played much.
Evans - has been great; you can see her impact because it really hurt the team both when she was injured late in her frosh year and out at U20s for most of the beginning of last year's season; surprised she hasn't been on USYNT rosters since then
Montoya - has been a starter and at times truly great, but limited by a severe injury her frosh season; hoping next season will be her best
Aikey - has been our best player for many games (including NCAAs); we beat last year's national champion (UNC) with her on the field, but sadly Aikey was injured for last year's NCAAs; looks like she will be back to full health this coming season
Kostmayer - has a unique physicality and has been the differencemaker in some games but sadly is leaving the program this fall as a grad transfer
Spiekerkotter - took a redshirt freshman season and hasn't played big minutes either of the last two years; looking for her to make more of an impact this coming season
Astrid Wheeler - not part of the same class, but mentioned in the reply above. She was the #1 recruit in her class but largely disappeared at Stanford (only appeared in 2 matches her Junior & Senior seasons). It's so odd to have a major recruit like that in one of the top women's sports disappear like that with virtually no commentary about it (either in the press or on chat boards). Does anyone know what happened? Did she just not pan out or was there a long-term injury involved? I know she was injured junior season but she played fewer than 6 total games (minutes-wise) her first two seasons.
PS And speaking of Madison Haley, the end of her tenure at Stanford was limited by injuries, but she is doing really well these days playing for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women's Super League. Just finished a great season where she helped the club to its highest WSL finish ever (fifth) and was rewarded with a contract extension last month.
