I was there, high and deep in the back recesses of Section 1. On defense I made noise, and our team responded in kind by making signal. We were Tree in the second half, just like we were Tree against USC and at WSU, but it wasn't quite enough to make up for the Dishonorable Heathen first half. Hit three or four of the missed free throws and this is won.
When it got to 31-17 the Husky fans started getting really loud, and soon after got even louder. When you are on the road you are not just playing against the other team, you are also playing against their house, and that house helped the Dawgs build the lead to just large enough to keep us from coming back. Kisunas almost completed the comeback all by himself, which is both a good thing and not such a good thing (where were the other guys?).
If nothing else, we appear to have the perk of being a second half team. This was better than being up 15 at the half and sharting the game away at the end, as recent past teams would have done, but in terms of being a contender for the tournament or even the NIT the recent history is in the books; the Cardinal bear the burden of proof.
