I feel like SC will score 40+ on a majority of PAC teams.
I feel like a majority of PAC teams will score four TDs against this mediocre SC front seven.
The Stanford offense had some nice plays but overall I was not impressed. Fans focus on the offensive turnovers but I will note that there were very few penalties called against the Stanford offense. Perhaps that’s something to build on but to me it is disappointing that the points still are not coming more easily for a really talented group on that side of the ball. The guys are playing hard and smart but something isn’t working and now we have to wait and see how serious the injury to Smith is.
From the last five minutes of the first half until nearly the end of the third quarter, SC was pretty dominant. I think that’s the story of the game for me.
Maybe SC really is a top 10 team (possible but not probable).
So I am less optimistic about the season than I was before this game, but I do think six wins are possible. I think that’s the ceiling for this team, however.
