On one, bad throw. Other at end of game. He was without the two top receivers, including Brandon Cooks, who has issues, or something. Mills also ran 3 times for good enuf yardage. Thomas Booker, who I don't think played in early season games, played about 1/3 of defensive snaps, had several good rushes, and, as usual, never stopped until the whistle. Houston obviously evaluating whether they should ride with Mills. I thought he looked pretty good.
He has looked good overall, honestly the best of the QBs in his class except for maybe Lawrence (Lance gets an incomplete). That said, he is still a low-end starter, probably around the 25-28 range right now and the problem is that his ceiling projects to be lower then others. Plus the team is lest invested in him then other teams are based on draft capital.
Realistically if you want to win a Super Bowl you need a top 10 QB. Right now, he’s not that, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Texans move on in the next draft. That said, he may have earned himself a career as a high-end backup, which may be the best job in the NFL. 5-10 mil/year to stay ready and not get hit isn’t a bad gig, though I’d also love to see him get a shot as a starter on an actually good team.
