With all the discussion about MTL, coaches, and the band, who knew?
US up 1-0 early in the second half.

Any opinions on the late first half US goal called back due to an offsides call? Glad it didn't impact the eventual outcome.

I haven't yet found a replay which shows the full play.Absolutely not. I have a recording of the game and replayed the goal several times. Pulisic's momentum carried him into the goalie as the latter sprawled across the goal trying to make the save. The injury was caused by the goalie's left knee hitting Pulisic in the abdomen when Pulisic ran into him in a T-bone collision.

Yes, there was a lot of shirt grabbing (both ways) and the Iranians dove a lot trying to draw fouls, I didn't think it was that violent a game.

Yeah, I was struck less by the level of physicality than the politesse between players from opposing teams. After spills or tackles, they seemed unusually willing to check on each other, pick each other up etc.
