How does everyone feel about the conference's chances for a good showing this bowl-ing season?

In my opinion, only one matchup is a guaranteed loss, but every other matchup is fair.  The flip side is that I don't think any game is a guaranteed win, so it could get ugly.

Stanford vs Oklahoma State - Tossup
Oregon vs Wisconsin - Tossup/slight lean towards Oregon
Utah vs Georgia Tech - Lean towards Utah (ACC stinks)
UCLA vs Illinois - Lean towards UCLA (Illinois has lost their last 6 games)
Arizona State vs Boise State - Definitely Boise State
Washington vs Baylor - Lead towards Baylor (Washington's defense will probably get shredded more)
Kal vs Texas - Slight lean towards Kal (how in the world is 5-loss Texas ranked?)

Stanford, Kal, and Washington will have the chance to take apart the perceived dominance of the Big 12.

Also, it's sad/funny how Boise State falls all the way down to the Las Vegas Bowl against a soulless Arizona State.  That has to be the worst matchup EVER for a #7 BCS 11-1 team.  Glad we didn't get screwed over  ;)

I'm not optimistic about any of the non-BCS bowls (not that those are gimmes but at least should be competitive). With 2 teams in BCS bowls and SC inelligible, the bowl that would normally get the Pac's #2 gets the #4 this year and likewise down the line.

If most of these teams can have 900+ yd receivers, how in the world does Stanford not even have a 700 yd receiver with the best QB in college?  Short answer: our WRs are just not that good.  You might say, "Oh, well Stanford runs a power offense so Luck doesn't throw nearly as often as these other QBs."  Only the Oregon State, Duke, the University of South Central, Arizona, and Oklahoma State QBs completed more passes than Luck.  Luck does have great TEs/Hewitt, but let's see just how great those TEs/Hewitt are next year without Luck.  My inclination is to predict that they will not be nearly as effective (24 TDs combined).

So let's recognize how no QB other than Luck could attain a brilliant 167.5 QB rating, 70% completion rate, 35 TDs, and only 9 INTs with a below average WR corps.

Woods, Lee and Barkley are pretty darned good.  SC being on probation has not given them the publicity they deserve.  But if they were eligible, I would bet they'd be top-10 in the BCS right now (they're #5 in the AP poll, #7 in ESPN's power rankings).

If you think Blackmon is good...well, did you see Randle and Smith over the course of the season?  I'm worried about Ok St.'s speed at RB and at WR combining to overload our front seven + safeties.  Anyiam was supposed to break out this season but hasn't really...let's hope he doesn't wake up over the next month.

As you've noticed, our board has its quirks. There are several rival schools whose names get... well, adjusted, including the one you asked about, the one with the leprechaun mascot, and a couple of the state's flagship public universities. And there are people who get the same treatment (mainly the two head coaches who preceded Harbaugh), but you probably aren't going to have to worry about those. If you really want the name of one of these schools to look like what you type, try putting a period or two in between letters -- e.g. U...S...C.

Oh, and you also have to watch out for a word meaning really, really, very large.
