I live in LA and have been a little annoyed at the constant drum beat of news about these other fires.  Every time I've clicked on one of these articles, I've learned that zero structures were destroyed in the new fire.  It feels like the media is using the city's recent trauma to generate cheap clicks about these additional fires, which seem like the types of fires that happen every year and that generate very little interest.  I suppose the silver lining from the stress of these alarmist headlines is that people might be even more motivated to do something to prevent the next "Big One."
