What a compelling race to watch. My Dad, a middle distance runner in his day who loved to watch track meets, would have really enjoyed seeing that race.
At its best, indoor track is a lot of fun. As a spectator sport, it might be even better than outdoors, though the really big meets are, of course, outdoors.

Fisher ran 27.5 for the final 200 m, 16+mph, fantastic.
LSJU has had so many legendary superstar athletes in all sports and maybe Fisher is slowly taking his place among them!

Good article in the WSJ about the recent spate of records in middle distance events, including both records by Fisher. It focuses on the mile records, but mentions the 3000 and 5K.
