The refs have been so bad in recent games I wonder if the ACC resents Stanford for some reason. Last night there was one ball that was clearly knocked out by two Cal players going for the ball. The closest Stanford player was an arms length away, yet Cal was awarded the ball. The Cal center seemed to be in the lane for 5-6 seconds at times without being called and delivered more body shots than a professional boxer. Few were called. However, we still could have won this game with decent showings from Ogden, Agara, and Shay

I didn't get a chance to see the game but it looks like Alex was the reason we made it to overtime, but Cal shut her down after that.

I was at the game and was very impressed with Alex. She played with four fouls all of Q4 and still dominated on both ends. She (+Lara's 3 at the end) was the reason Stanford managed to get to OT. Unfortunately the team was exhausted by then cause there was no one useful on the bench with Agara out.

I'm not sure the facts back up the "exhaustion" argument. According to the stats, the bears had FOUR players who played more than 39 minutes and 30 seconds [three of whom played more than 40 minutes - i.e., the entire regulation PLUS minutes in overtime], and we had only one [Clardy]. Seems like "exhaustion" should have been their problem, not ours.
