C&R reported this a couple of weeks ago but I am just getting caught up. Khaliyah Lili Thompson has committed for 2013.
The article in the Dallas newspaper can be found here:

C&R also have a link to her highlight reel put together by her dad:

Lili is a 5'8" guard. C&R report that she went largely unnoticed on the recruiting scene due to a summer injury. Hoopgurlz has her as a 3star rated at 86. "Premier Basketball" calls her "One of the top prospects in the class of 2013 and fun to watch play."

She will join Karlie Samuelson, also a guard, as the second 2013 commit.Â
I am curious what the rest of you think about our WBB recruiting of late. It looks like we are going to be very strong on guards for a long time to come. It also appears that we take the opportunity to recruit players who were injured in high school and thus lost some of their luster (Ally Beebe, too.) Perhaps we get very high caliber athletes that others overlooked because of this--but there also must be some sort of risk.
For those of you with a more practiced eye in sizing up talent, how do the classes of 2012 (Beebe, Picknell, Lakhian) and 2013 (K. Samuelson, Thompson) look to you? I get the impression that the team is going to have to get a lot more points out of its guards in the long run, and Beebe is looking more and more like she is intended to be a building block for the team in the post.Â
