Ponder Rutgers, on the verge of winning a share of their first Big East title EVER. Also, it will be their last, because their about to move with Maryland to the Big Ten/Fourteen....which means that the Big East's ridiculous new additions, Boise St. and SDSU, are now going groveling back to their previous conference, the MWC.

Farcical stuff. We should be thankful that the Pac-12 is a have and not a have-not in this game of musical chairs.

Stanford has been playing $C and UCLA since pre-Pac-whatever. Letting that go in exchange for a supposed softer schedule is too pussified to even countenance. Ernie Nevers, who played an entire game both ways on a broken ankle, would come out of the grave to kick your sorry asses.

Thats why I wanted the Pac-16 super conference with Texas. We shunt the Arizona schools to the eastern division, and essentially it's the Pac-8 with a scheduling agreement with the Big-12.

The only thing in the way of that arrangement was the Longhorn Network and Texas's demand for broadcast rights.  That was one of the catalysts for A&M's departure.
