As much as we've grown excited about competing and signing increingly more 4 & 5 star recruits, I was struck by the number of players having a major impact that were 2 & 3 star recruits. I think it is a reflection of: good recruiting - seeing things or potential others don't, good coaching - helping an athlete significantly improve and exceed expectation, and the imperfection of ratings.

To be honest, the biggest change in the rating of the players we are recruiting is probably the respect that the Stanford football program currently has.  Most of the players listed with three stars on griffin's list would likely be elevated to 4 stars if we were recruiting them now as a result of our interest in them. Also, I remember Jordan Richards being listed as at least a 4-star "Athlete".

I was surprised to see Henry Anderson's name on that list. I wonder if one of the other outfits had him as a 4-star. At any rate, his list of offers on Rivals is pretty impressive (several SEC, Florida St, Clemson, Michigan) and I read U.SC wanted him too (although not listed on his Rivals profile).
