As much as we've grown excited about competing and signing increingly more 4 & 5 star recruits, I was struck by the number of players having a major impact that were 2 & 3 star recruits. I think it is a reflection of: good recruiting - seeing things or potential others don't, good coaching - helping an athlete significantly improve and exceed expectation, and the imperfection of ratings.
Here is my list of 2 & 3 star recruits that have been major contributors this year:
Daniel Zychlinski 2 - 2008
Alex Debniak 2 - 2008
Terrence Brown 2 - 2009
Ben Gardner 2 - 2009
Ed Reynolds 2 - 2010
David Parry walk on - 2010
Sam Schwartzstein 3 - 2008
Chase Thomas 3 - 2008
Khalil Wilkes 3 - 2009
Drew Terrell 3 - 2009
Ryan Hewitt 3 - 2009
