kc johnson was one of the people/bloggers involved in making public the Duke lacrosse prosecution cluster****.  He's now got his own sort of cottage industry involved in student due process as part of a larger campaign against bureaucratic political correctness.  He is not some neutral observer, but the topic is definitely in line with garvin's post and the subject of student /university judicial due process.

Back when I was a student, there were continuous demonstrations against the Stanford Judicial Council and its successor, the Campus Judicial Panel, which were in charge of disciplinary cases (which in those days tended to concern violent activity during anti-war demonstrations rather than academic Honor Code violations).

Back when you were a student, demonstrating was a varsity sport.
