I have no idea what to think other than Stanford has now achieved what many people probably thought impossible. Stanford now has guys on defense who can't get on the field at Stanford, but could probably start at other BCS conference schools.
Without Davis in the mix, it seems this is a reasonable LB pecking order:
OLB: Murphy, Vaughters, Lueders, Anderson, Kalambayi, Tyler, Veach (Dickerson and/or Holuba)
ILB: Skov, Tarpley, Lancaster, Hemschoot, Martinez, Palma, Perez, Folau (Okereke and/or Alfieri)
Just looking at the depth chart, Davis would seem to have fewer guys to fight for playing time over at ILB, given Skov and Lancaster are both gone after this season. Davis still looks like he needs to add weight, but not as much to play ILB.
