I'd be interested to see some transfer figures for places like Alabama, for instance. When there are good young players in the pipeline, sometimes the seniors just see the writing on the wall. (Shaw intimated as much in Lyons's case.)

There is little doubt he would play a lot in 2015 if he were to return; and most likely would have begun the season as a starter. As such, his loss will have an impact on the team.
