I saw the tweet from addicted-to-quack linking this article then they deleted it. Interesting that the story is still up on the website.
Other credible media sources are saying he wont know his test results until sometime this evening.

Adams will remain eligible through the first semester, but he'll presumably have to pass his graduate classes at OU in order to remain eligible next semester. If he doesn't care about getting the graduate degree, then failing is only a problem if Oregon's season extends into January. It would be interesting, however, if Oregon made it to the playoff only to have its QB lose his eligibility right before the game. #OnlyAtOregon

I'm still highly skeptical that someone can come in and be the QB of a team (and win games like a Top 5 team is expected to win), with only three weeks of practice on that team. I hope Oregon starts Adams in a force-feeding kind of way, when the truth is other QBs who've been in the system for years would actually be better options.

My guess would be Lockie initially starts, but Adams gets meaningful playing time. When one demonstrates a clear superiority over the other, then he will become the starter and get the lion's share of the snaps.

It would be nice if Oregon would have a down year. Their current run of 10+ wins per season needs to end. Having a constant powerhouse in our division is becoming a nuisance.

The Oregon QB situation has a smell of desperation to me.
Lockie was a three star recruit who didn't get rave reviews in high school. From what I can see, he had two offers - one from San Diego State, and the other from Oregon. We don't know much about his development since he joined the Ducks, as he hasn't played much. In any case, the Oregon staff were certainly open to recruiting a graduate transfer, who turned out to be Vernon Adams. Query how much confidence the Oregon staff has in Lockie and their other QBs given their pursuit of Adams.
The hope may have been that Adams was going to be the second coming of Russell Wilson of sorts. But Adams didn't start doing anything with the team until last night. It strikes me as fantastical that he could be ready to play well when they face Michigan State on the road in the second week of the season. I also wonder if he'll be ready for when they play Utah in the fourth week of the season.
In addition to playing us at Stanford, the Ducks also play ASU in Tempe and USC at home this year. It wouldn't surprise me terribly if the Ducks go 8-4 this year.

This is hard to make rational but I'd sure like to see the Ducks whip up on Michigan State and then go all to hell during conference.

Neuheisel can join the boy band. He can "not sing" with the best of them. Otherwise, I find none of this unrealistic. (Although I wouldn't mind Reveno being HC if we can't get Madsen.)
