SJS is missing units offensive and defensive coordinators and 6 key players.
They gave up 4 TDs to Ball State in the first quarter.

SJSU didn't have either coordinator, 2/5th of the OL, and a few other starters too. It seemed like a very late development, so that couldn't have helped much. Then early on the first drive SJSU lost a TE to a rather scary tackle.
They were completely blown out, but there were some challenges.

Today's paper implied that the suspensions were not Covid-related, or not all Covid-related. Strange, as there does not seem to be any other reasonable cause. But 2 coordinators and 5 starters is a lot to overcome.
SJSU ran a great gauntlet - too bad it ended in this fashion. But on the bright side, their starting QB is coming back next season.
