It always drives me nuts when players (not just Wilson at the end) push the boundaries of the rules unnecessarily. Pick up the ball and walk before time runs out, pass the ball at half court flirting with backcourt violations, not properly staying out of bounds when inbounding the ball after made baskets... I guess I’m officially old.

But this team almost choked away a 17 point lead against a less-talented, less-deep team. So the W doesn't feel quite as satisfying as it should (and in reality, is).
On the plus side:
Big help from Wilson (now becoming more regular), Prechtel, and Van Gytenbeek;
Haley Jones' all-around game, though she needs to assert herself more, especially late in games;
Ki on the FT line late; and
Stanford got the W with some players out, including one starter.
On the ?? side:
Fran's overall game - not sure about her ballhandling or passing yet, though she can defend and score in transition attacking the bucket;
Ki in her over-dribble mode and some dubious shots;
Lacey didn't have a good game;
Boley's foul trouble, on one or two questionable calls - that can't be expected in next matchup(s) with the Ducks.

Whew, we escaped 70-63 as our offense disappeared for basically the fourth quarter allowing Oregon to go on a run and close within two possessions. Frankly, we were lucky that Oregon did not tie the game in the last couple minutes as we turned the ball over on a couple of inbound plays, but our defense made enough stops and we had a big enough cushion to withstand a poor offensive fourth quarter.
Our FT shooting (13/16) was key as was our contributions from every person who played.
Kiana did not have a great game in terms of shooting (3/13 overall, 0/6 from long range), though she was a critical 8/9 from the FT line. But as teejers mentioned, some of her decision making were off today.
Our bench had better shooting numbers than our starters. Ashten, Cam and Jana combined to go 8/12 and we needed that high conversion rate. Haley was 8/18 and Belibi was 3/9 in addition to Kiana's 3/13.
Turning the ball over 17 times and Oregon's 14 o-boards didn't help.
Hopefully with no Sunday game, we can take that extra time to study the fourth and not let that happen again. Also it looked like both Anna and Kiana suffered minor hand injuries late in the fourth, so that additional rest will be nice.

Jana did great today. She played some great minutes and showed she can really run the offense. Kudos to her. Fran was shaky. Brink was there but also not. Prechtel showed up. Missed Lexie vs Lacie. Overall, happy for the win!

Fair question. Thought I heard Oregon was also out a starter.
But I view this Stanford team as so freaking good/deep that I think we're deeper than other rosters, even with 3 players out!
