Louisville is 6, Georgia is 13, Kentucky is 19 in the NET rankings. If they are 2-3-4 in our region, they would be expected to be 8, 9 and 16. That's a pretty big disparity! The correct answer is "no big deal", and that would have been the correct even if UConn gets the overall #1 seed where it matters (from the committee).  There is enough uncertainty in terms of the placement of teams that the only big question is whether Stanford and UConn are on course to meet in the final or some game before the final, and that doesn't change whether STanford is #1 and UConn is #2 or vice versa.

The Bone-yard is a well run site. I frequent the General Women's BB subforum a lot as do a few other cardboarders. Everyone is really well-behaved for the most part. If not you will incur the wrath of Husky Nan.

Watching a bit of the Big East tournament final.  UConn looks very good.  Like one of the top teams in the country but not like one of the unbeatable teams they have had in the past.  Marquette looks pretty bad.  Makes me wonder about the quality of the Big East conference.  Marquette looks like it would finish 10th or 11th in the PAC-12.

She is their best player but she's only 5'11" and built very much like the Hulls. She cuts alot to the basket like the Hulls and shoots 3s with a quick release. I would expect Anna and the Hulls would make it difficult for her to operate.

Their center is 6'5" and can shoot and move but she doesn't look like a prolific scorer. She's not beefy so wont overpower anyone. Doesn't look like they have anyone notable behind her like our three headed monster, though I may have missed someone.

They have a 3 pt specialist and athletic dribble drive wings who defend well. If we meet, I expect a 15 pt victory.

Paige Bueckers is their leading scorer at 19.7 ppg, shooting 54% from the field and 47% from long range.
Their center is Olivia Nelson-Ododa, 3rd leading scorer averaging 12.5 ppg, 58% from the field and grabbing 7.8 rpg.

Christyn Williams, the #1 recruit from the Class of '18 is averaging 15.8 ppg at a 48% clip.

Their wing/forward Aaliyah Edwards is their 4th leading scorer at 10.2 ppg, hitting a very efficient 68% of her shots.

They also have Evina Westbrook, transfer from Tennessee, who was the #2 recruit from the Class of '17 and though she is still averaging 9.2 ppg at a 44% FG%, she hasn't made as much of an impact as I thought.

I've only watched one UConn game this season, against South Carolina and their offense runs through Bueckers (obviously) and down the stretch in a close game, it didn't seem like many of their other starters contributed as much as Paige did. But again, it was just a one game sample size against a high quality S. Carolina team

The center looked athletic but not as effective as Ruthie Hebard, or the graduated Cal center. Of course, who is? If Brink stays out of foul trouble, though, she would outscore her.

The three pt specialist can shoot the three; no evidence whether she's as versatile as Jump has become.

Didn't see the Tenn transfer but I may have missed her. I remember she was a big time recruit for Tenn. It didn't work out?
