Tough to watch for sure. That graphic of McKee, lined up with Trevor Lawrence and JT Daniels, came across like an ad for recruits not to pick Stanford. :(

Yeah -- agree with consensus here on the First Half.
1) Stanford NOT READY, and that's not the 9am PT Kickoff. What did our coaches do for three weeks?
Why don't they cut the playbook in HALF, and do 8 or 10 plays well?
2) Agree, other than Booker up front, and Kelly's heroics on the INT -- the Defense looks lost.
The Safeties seem clueless. We cannot rush 3 on Thompson and give him 5-8 seconds to scramble for an open guy.
3) Agree the Blitz called on third down left the middle WIDE OPEN for Vaughn on the TD,
but DT Ryan Johnson (#23) has to dive left into the hole and force the play right into the Blitz. That didn't happen.
4) K-State is VERY Aggressive on Defense, with quick strong Safeties and our Coaches prepared for AVERAGE.
So our O-Line is getting over-whelmed. I think the RBs have gotten as much out of a play as is there.
5) Totally agree with consensus here that T.McKee > J.West. Much more upside. Let him play.
I think Shaw gave West a fair shot. West lacks the confidence against a talented, quick secondary.

Tough to find much positive to say about the first half. Kelly's interception was about it.
Run game big, big disappointment. It was supposed to be the strength of the team and hasn't done anything.
I'd go with McKee; he looks like the better prospect even though he didn't exactly shine in the first half.

Think of how unimaginative our O play calling was in H1. Compare that with KSU's. Then think of who our O coordinator is: Tavita Pritchard. I never expect any imaginative play calls or strategy from him. A thoroughly abysmal first half. And we're no closer to having a #1 QB. All is proceeding according to script. Same old predictability, stubbornness, and unpreparedness. I also have a feeling that neither of our QBs has had proper mechanics drilled into him. Too many errant throws from McKee and too much flinging while falling backward from West. Who is our QB coach? Is it Pritchard?

This. Without a run game, it doesn’t matter who the QB is or how good the play calls are.

I'm going to do something more productive and less masochistic than watch a David Shaw-coached team self-destruct.
Those two spent TOs and the poor pass blocking are indicative of how unprepared we are.

I'm starting to wonder if the 9AM body-clock thing has become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
