7,500. Kinda like WSU in the first year of the new stadium. I actually started counting in the 3rd Q. All I missed was the lower deck below me. Same game when the Coug DE (name eludes me) had about seven or eight sacks.
If there were 16,000 at the Washington game, I’d estimate there should be a little more for the Utah game.
The biggest negative is that the team is now 3-5 instead of 3-4.
Other than that, it depends on the demographics.
For families with children, a 7:30 game the night before Halloween is the absolute worst time possible, so I’d expect some more families.
The UCLA and Oregon games set records for student attendance. There was a big dropoff for the Washington game, but the Saturday night before Halloween is the absolute best night for parties, so, I’d expect more students at the Utah game.
For die hard sports fans, there should no longer be a conflict with the World Series.
For young professionals, it’s a mixed bag. If they work late or have a long drive,
it can be bard to make a Friday night game. But again, there’s less chance of a conflict with parties and other social events on Fridays.

the AD apparently didn't think this would be a high demand game given the face value of my sec 134 alumni seat is $22, the lowest of all the home games....the UW game ticket face value was $47....

the only time i've been to Stanford since i graduated was the late 90's, but i just bought a ticket to SJC for the Utah game on Friday. does anyone have any tips, or comments about the new stadium?

thanks for the advice. i've always debated whether to sit close or far.
i sat in the front row of the end zone at the Orange Bowl in Harbaugh's final game, and had a blast. but i couldn't always tell what was going on at the other end zone.

Never seen the women play. But I don't think that they can ever generate the noise and excitement of an Arizona game c 1998 or the game with UConn. You had to be there to understand.
