The biggest negative is that the team is now 3-5 instead of 3-4.
Other than that, it depends on the demographics.
For families with children, a 7:30 game the night before Halloween is the a absolute worst time possible, so I’d expect some more families.
The UCLA and Oregon games set records for student attendance. There was a big dropoff for the Washington game, but the Saturday night before Halloween is the absolute best night for parties, so, I’d expect more students at the Utah game.
For young professionals, it’s a mixed bag. If they work late or have a long drive,
it can be bard to make a Friday night game. But again, there’s less chance of a conflict with a different event.
Last, for opponents, there are a lot more UDub alums around than Utah alums, but Utah is doing well and could be the Pac 12 champions, generating more excitement, so this might be a push.

Really. Not a bad seat in the house (and you will have oodles to choose from once you get inside the gate). It should be another mild night, so the only real drawback (likely) will be what's going on in the game itself.

The stadium should be empty. Pick up a free game ticket or buy the cheapest from Stubhub to get in the gate and sit wherever you want. Some say the first five rows of the upper deck offer the best views of the action.

The announcer is just too over the top, trying to contrive interest and energy. Please, somebody, make it stop!

We could be down 3 TDs by Halftime vs Utes... with <8,000 in the seats?
We now wield the LOWEST Rushing Yards per game in Pac-12 at 92. At least it won't be raining.
And, we are dead last in Rushing Defense also.
Three teams in the Pac-12 have allowed more points than they have scored: STAN, ARIZ, COLO.
We need to ask Shaw a serious question:
Forget your career Won-Loss record; why is the team you field each week worth watching?
[The OT game vs Oregon being the lone exception]

I disagree, Phogge. Maples will be rocking for Stanford women's basketball, and I'm looking forward to it!

What's the all-time record attendance at Maples for women's BB??
