We lead 14-14 after one quarter thanks to a buzzer beating two-pointer by Jones.
We are struggling with turnovers - 6 including a 5-second inbound violation and we are shooting just 39% including 0/3 from long range. Five players (Brink, Lexie, Jones, Belibi and Emma-Nnopu) all have one foul.

She got caught guarding Ebo, their center. She missed both free throws and Anna only has one foul. Stanford up 3 after going 1 for 8 from 3 point range. I'll take that and hopefully they can hit a couple threes in the 2nd half.

On offense, we are doing inside the arc (10/20) while struggling mightily from long range (1/8), but we got to the FT line nine times and converting 77% of them.
For Texas, it is the converse. They are (4/6) - 67%, while even though Harmon and Allen-Taylor are nailing the midrange jumper, the Longhorns are actually 6/21 from two-point range (29%).
Brink and Jones have two fouls each, but four of the Longhorn players have at least two (Gaston (3), Matharu, Moore & Lattimore) fouls each.
Jones is on the verge of a double-double (9 points, 9 rebounds), but Lexie is our leading scorer with 12 points on 5/9 shooting. We've found success with the backdoor cut, but Texas will surely try to take that away from us in the second half.
I hope the refs continue to call it tight; the Longhorn players are extremely (too) aggressive and then when they get whistled, they get upset that they are not getting away with it. But we can't depend on the officiating crew to save us.
We'll need to continue to stay aggressive offensively and not settle for a long range shot as one of the ESPN halftime analysts pointed out.

I am pleased that we cut down on turnovers in the second quarter and made a couple of treys. I hope Tara pulls a halftime rabbit out of her hat and we get some separation. Love those back doors. Don't love the angry criticism by over enthusiastic fans. Tara is delivering all the halftime criticism that can help. We do need Brink to stay on the floor.

I'm happy to be up 3 at halftime. The team is playing tough. As Lexie said in the interview, the way to deal with a physical team is to be just as physical.
What I didn't like were some unforced turnovers, and leaving Texas open for 3s at times. I guess sagging off #31 may have been in the game plan, but other players were getting open too.

The first half is as expected - Stanford struggles against Texas' pesky defense but finds a way to score. What's frustrating to see is BRINK getting flustered as she is unable to adjust to the defensive schemes that Texas throws upon her.
