The worst part about watching this team is how uncompetitive we are week in and week out. Most weeks we seem to get blown out early in the game.

After the Wazzu loss Shaw said in the presser that it was about pride. That message clearly didn't resonate.

Eh I think we all knew this game was going to go like this. I’m more interested to see what type of showing we have next week against Cal. It’s a game we should be much more competitive in. I’m hopeful still we take back the axe.

Cal lost to OSU tonight by 28. Stanford lost by 1.
Stanford’s puny offensive output tonight (177) was 21 yards better than Cal’s.

Listening to John Platz on KNBR sing McKee's praises (especially re his arm strength) over and over again and talking him up as an NFL prospect, it occurred to me that he fails to notice or take into account two things: he's not that accurate a thrower AND he is immobile and virtually a sitting duck. I'd be surprised if any NFL team wasted a pick on him, but maybe I'm wrong. Since he seems like a good guy, I hope I AM wrong. I wonder if he will return to SU next year. I tend to doubt it. He's taken more than his share of lumps this year. By the way, Shaw keeps talking about our injuries. Has he ever considered that part of the problem may be our strength and conditioning program?

Mostly numb to it all, but experienced some fleeting rage at the final couple of slow-mesh play calls.

Good point!!! That freaked me out too! Why not give the QB a chance to throw a couple of balls? Maybe David was desperate to insure that our running game would wind up in positive territory, which it did at +22 for the night.

Coming into the season, I envisioned us having an excellent offense. It sure hasn't worked out that way.
What's frustrating is that 50% of the conference consists of teams we not only couldn't beat, but couldn't even be competitive with.
