WBB: Results of the Week

Agree with most of your picks, but shouldn't Betts be on there? She was way better than Marshall in conference. If you don't want 3 from UCLA, I'd give it to Lauren instead of Rice.

Plus my all league team
But, this caused me to consider whether the 24th rebound is "official". The box score attached to the game in the schedule GoStanford.com's site shows 24 (8+16) rebounds. The recap for the game indicates 23 rebounds. The StatBroadcast box score shows 23. The ESPN site shows 23. I do not see single-game highs at the NCAA stats site. Stanford's WBB Historical Records has no 2024 data.
As of today, Stanford's season stats shows Brink as having 80 + 255 rebounds. The NCAA season stats show the same numbers.
If I add up the numbers in each of the box scores from GoStanford, I get the same numbers.
The difference is apparently a defensive rebound that may be credited to Lepolo (StatBroadcast) or Brink (GoStanford). It happened at 8:12 of the first quarter.
Iriafen blocks a shot which goes high in the air, well short of the basket. Brink catches it, takes a dribble, and shovels it to Lepolo.
It was legitimately and apparently officially a Brink rebound, tying Stanford's single game record with Chiney.
25 points and 24 rebounds.
Is she or isn't she?
When I was looking at the NCAA stats, another thing I ran into was a click-bait posting at the NCAA site "A reason to believe in eachof the women's basketball selection committee's top-16 seeds".
For Stanford, it says (in part) "Cameron Brink and her dominant 6-foot, 6-inch frame comprise possibly the most impactful player in America — Brink leads the nation in player efficiency rating (PER) and win shares"
Does that author know more or less than I do? Has she grown two inches, or does she just play like she did?

Funny about Cam's height. I too noticed the discrepancy then wondered about the proofing of the article when I observed that they referred to more than one team as the Gamecocks!
