For those who worried about being tense for the whole game, it is beginning to look like that won't be a problem.

After Cal started hitting 3s and went way up, we showed a sign of life, getting a couple of drive and kick 3s ourselves. But down 9 at half in a very low scoring game. Ugh.

Our defense has not been terrible. But the Cal defense has been surprisingly good. They held us to 24 points in a half. when we are averaging closer to 24 points in quarter. Agara just disappeared in the 2nd quarter after a solid but hard working first quarter. Our 3 point shooting at 44% is so much better than our overall shooting at 27%. We are 4/21 from two point range. So many missed layups.

Put Agara in the lane and play close defense on 4 of their players, leaving it to Agara if they get past us.

Well, we are looking terrible in a "rebuilding" year. But let's acknowledge that the Stanford grad coaching Cal has FINALLY got a decent team and may challenge this new conference. Cal is going to be a very hard team to beat. We will get another chance.
The three pointer by Cal at the end of the third quarter was the final nail. A three pointer from the center from 10 feet outside the three point line as the clock expired.
A 23 point lead for Cal going into the fourth quarter. But maybe it was not the final nail. Plenty more nails available in a whole quarter ahead. We could take a lot of nails.

It isn't so much the 3pt shooting (we are at 54%, they are at 44%), it is the 15 fewer shots, leading to 10 fewer goals.
It seems unlikely, but if the refs start calling the fouls, this game could get a lot closer sooner.

Can’t see the game because we don’t get ACCNX. However, LiveStats says we’re 6-23 on layups and 6-11 3’s. Why aren’t we just shooting 3’s ?????

Can't say I saw this kind of drubbing coming. We just don't look very engaged or gritty for a team playing it's rival. We take LSU to overtime and look very competitive against a top 5 team and then watching this game it feels like I'm watching two totally different teams. What gives. Disappointing regardless.
