Ertz and Hooper both with TD receptions today! Alas their teams lost.

Karty missed a 43 yard FG in the Rams loss. Last week he missed a 26 yard attempt.

I think Michael Wilson had a TD catch nullified by penalty.

CMC still not looking himself and the same can be said for the 49ers.

Looks like Elijah Higgins plays more than 50 percent of the time at TE for Arizona, not only blocking but also catching passes.

TDs yesterday for Hooper and Ertz and Schultz! For Zach Ertz, it was his 50th career TD! He has to be high on the alltime NFL TD receptions list among LSJU alums, along with James Lofton, Gene Washington, et al. Bravo Zach Ertz!

In rougher news, Trenton Irwin was waived today by the Bengals. He had lost some snaps to the younger Bengals WR from Princeton. Irwin caught 46 passes for over 600 yards and 5 TDs for Cincy going back to the 2019 season.

I would've thought that John Paye threw some NFL TDs but I guess not.

And how about Doug Baldwin, from Gulf Breeze HS in Fla., to Harbaugh's dog house, to All Pac10, to UDFA, to 49 career NFL TDs and Super Bowl champion!

Whenever we visited my son at NAS Pensacola it was always fun to drive right by Gulf Breeze HS on the way to the beach.

I have not looked anything up; my recollection is that John Paye went to the 49ers but never really recovered from the damage to his shoulder late in the 86 season. To me, kind of a "what could have been" as I really enjoyed watching him play and appreciated his talent!

I don't believe John Paye was ever formally on an NFL regular season roster. I couldn't find an entry on the NFL site and the Pro Football Reference site.

Michael Wilson had a 41-yard TD, his 4th touchdown of the season.

Karty made his one FG attempt and 5 of 6 PATs.

And Trenton Irwin bade farewell to the Bengals:

i always liked Trent.

Several years after he graduated, when he was with the Dolphins, Trent sent an email thanking me for a course of mine he'd taken. He cited sharpened critical-thinking skills as one effect the course had had on him. I was impressed with his thoughtfulness and regard Trent as an outstanding student-athlete.

Karty kicked 4 FG for all of the Rams' points in the TNF win over the stick-fork-in 49ers.

For tomorrow, Ertz tries for his 4th straight game with a TD and Hooper for his 3rd.
