Winning by more than a couple holes in any match is impressive, to do it three times in four rounds is quite a run. For better or for worse, however, none of it caries over, so he is going to have to keep it up.

Jay Leng Jr will play for the championship tomorrow! He took out Logan Reilly 2 and 1 on a day when both players showed signs of feeling the pressure. Leng will face Jack Whaley from Florida State for the title. The 36 hole final starts at 6 am pacific.

Bummer, Leng fell 4 and 3. Still, a very impressive run.

Thorbjornsen and McNealy both made it through the first weekend of the FedEx cup playoffs (McNealy finished 49th in point total, just making it into the top 50) and advanced to next week's BMW tournament in St Louis.

After his run to the finals of the US Amateur, Jay Leng Jr. is now a Walker Cupper. A great honor to be given the chance to play for your country. Congratulations to him!

Mav McNealy had a real nice tournament. After the St. Jude Classic (and the BMW) he had enough FedEx points to assure his PGA Tour card through 2027, including all eight Signature events. Thorbjornssen's in even better shape because he won a tournament, so he's assured his PGA Tour card through 2028 including all eight annual Signature events. Patrick Rodgers finished #64 in FedEx cup points, coming in under the #70 FedEx standard, so he's set for 2027. And Karl Vilips, as winner in Puerto Rico, has his PGA tour card through 2027.
