Bad luck? A team that is offensively challenged? A team with tired legs? I do wish that the team had more speed and length on defense to force turnovers and get fast break points. That can really charge up an offense. But Stanford might get only 1 or 2 fast break buckets per game.
The reason why Stanford "could not get stops on the other end" against USC was that Stanford's coaches had the team playing a bizarre and porous D aimed at stopping JuJu. Alas, in the process it left Forbes wide open. You know how that worked out.
