I mean, I've known some amazingly personable athletes (Kristin Folkl comes to mind), so it is possible, but yeah, it is also possible that Ledecky is not exactly representative.

Ledecky is the GOAT distance swimmer! 14 Olympic medals, 21 world championships, 16 world record swims, 37 American records!

Hoping she'll be somewhat relatable for the class of '25 undergrads. "Yes, like all of you and everyone else, I too have failed terribly at times . . . like when I've won only a silver Olympic medal instead of my usual gold. Or that time I didn't break my own world record in the 800 freestyle."

She will indeed be able to say that there is life after and away from The Farm. (In Gainesville!)

Former Stanford TE RB and current NJ Senator Cory Booker was my youngest son's graduate speaker. Did a great job and snuck in not one, not two but three Stanford references (5:08, 12:37, 13:00). Very likeable and even more so because P'ton has a tradition of awarding a beer jacket to the speakers (the graduates all wear beer jackets), and Booker both wore it and posed for pictures with it on (36:38). Classy guy.

He followed a student who was extremely amusing, and Gore's first two minutes were actually quite funny (rumor is that the same student speaker wrote his first two minutes).
