I guess the real question is, why on Earth is ND scheduling Stanford anymore?!  We booted them from the CFP in 2015, and we've basically had their number for the last decade.  They usually have a hard enough schedule as it is.  They're a big money draw for us, but converse isn't true for them...

I've said this for many years.  As soon as ND starts believing that we are their equal or better in football, they will drop us for a less competitive team.  Their history with USC is extensive so I think they will keep them on the schedule but I am sure they would prefer to have the other West Coast team be an easier team to beat than us.  I think that they have so much over confidence in their program and keep expecting us to revert to the mean so it will be a few years before they really get sick of losing more games than they win and drop us.
