To answer my earlier question about which "Big" has the most assists, it depends on what you mean by "Big."
Jones has the most assists of any player who plays at the 4 or 5.
Jerome, however, has more assists than any other big. More than Belibi, Prechtel, or Fingall--and all four are in the same ballpark for minutes played. This seems to be her best offensive asset just now.

I seem to remember Karlie and Bonnie didn't get a lot of time in their freshman seasons, I remember Williams being over 40% in the early part of the year but falling off as the year went along. Wiggins and Pohlen were great all around but I never thought of them as being off-the-charts three point shooters--just excellent and complementing their drives and mid range. I'd almost guess JJ Hones as a possibility. I'd also guess Jennifer Azzi except I don't think they had three point shots during her freshman year. How about Nygaard?(12-26-2019, 11:41 AM)JoanBoothe Wrote:(12-25-2019, 12:11 AM)triangle2 Wrote: Three-pointer trivia question: who has the Stanford record for highest 3-point shooting percentage as a freshman?
Jamie Carey?
Ding! Carey's freshman season was pretty much unlike any other freshman three-point shooter that Stanford has ever had. Carey shot a mind-blowing 81-178 (45.51%) from the three her freshman season. Imagine what an injury-free career would have looked like.
Three-pointer trivia question #2: which of these long-distance bombers shot over 40% from the three for her freshman season? Karlie Samuelson, Candice Wiggins, Jeanette Pohlen, Kiana Williams, or Bonnie Samuelson.
