Things are going to look bad for a while. As I mentioned before, what we are seeing now reflects infections that were transmitted 1 to 2 weeks ago. Moreover, because of the delay in testing there are a lot of people who were infected who just never got tested.
South Korea passed emergency measures to contain the virus on Feb 21, when the daily count of new cases hit 98. The case count peaked 12 days later on March 3 at 851. They've been coming down since then.
