The Notre Dame-Wake Forest football game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed after the Irish announced 13 players are in isolation.

Is that a lot of players?  I'm sure they could still field a team, but I applaud them for doing the right thing...this time.

Is that a lot of players?  Depends on the 13.  Actually the body of the article implies they really have 23 players out.   The 13 in isolation and the 10 in quarantine.

Can't help but wonder if they players got COVID19 from, or gave COVID19 to, the University of South Florida.   Given that Notre Dame announced moments before the game that a number of players would be unavailable, I want to guess that COVID19 was already moving around the Notre Dame team prior to the South Florida game.   

If that is the case, South Florida will become a very important case study for the rest of the FBS.

As noted on the other board, a colleague of mine said 7 ND players tested positive.  That strikes me as a lot.  Also reinforces the questionable point of the Pac starting on November 7th.  I mean, is there any way in heck that they're getting through whatever length schedule unscathed?

So, let's say all teams get in 5 games . . . then what?
