What happened to the stringent protocols ND was following?  I thought they cracked down after the outbreak at the beginning of the term?

FYI, I doubt the football team numbers are included in the ND Dashboard.  As my colleague pointed out, footballers follow their own, more stringent testing protocols.  So it's unlikely that either the number of tests or test results from that separate protocol is reported in the dashboard numbers.  But hey, we'll find out for sure in a day or two (or, will find out definitively if they are NOT part of the ND dashboard reporting).  Given that ND Dashboard reported 0 positive tests on its last reporting day, if the number remains below 7 for the next few days (or if there isn't an at least 7 positive bump in prior days), we'll have our answer.

All of these schools are just doing their own thing.  The conferences did not provide a lot of guidance or rules.    Some schools are disclosing often, other schools are not disclosing at all.  ND is doing a lot more than other schools.   I would hope ND has told South Florida which players tested positive so they can properly isolate the potentially impacted players on their team.

The ND v Wake Forest game was moved to October 3rd, but that is a curious timeline.   The ND players currently in isolation should either still be in isolation (14 days) or will have been taken out of isolation just in time to make the team flight (10 days) depending on the policy.   I guess ND figures they probably can beat Wake Forest even if many of the players don't get an opportunity to practice as a team.  

We are just a few days away from October, when coronaviruses should get much more challenging for communities and schools in the Midwest.
