Indiana's Governor is moving to full state re-opening with no restrictions on gathering size.  Bars and restaurants all open.  Mandatory mask wearing until Oct. 17 only.

Methinks Notre Dame might not finish its season.

Could very well be . . . for ND and many/most/all schools.

I will observe that ND is in a bit of a bubble where it is, as I don't think there is much interaction with South Bend from Joe Student.  Obviously, some; but it's not like students are hitting the night life in South Bend with regularity.  (Kinda like the way Stanford was with its surrounding communities back in the day).  I'm sure more  Stanford students hit downtown PA and MP more than back in the day, but even today Stanford is its own bubble in many ways.  

BTW, do we know if ND's outbreak was organic; or is it possible, as at least one other poster speculated, that infection was transmitted from USF players?  Not that it really matters, but the point would be that ND might not finish its season - and it could have nothing to do with Indiana governor's decision.

I've never been to South Bend, so don't know the campus/area surroundings.  I have been to other campuses in the region, including Ohio State and Michigan. If it is anything like Ann Arbor or Columbus, and restrictions are lifted, with no masking, hard to imagine the football team not being impacted, even if they try to be safe. Of course, Indiana and Purdue would also be at risk too.
