Pathetic that nobody had the guts to ask him about calling 5 pass plays in a row with 1st & goal inside the 5 and a third-string true freshman QB, followed by a decision to kick an FG with a guy who'd missed three already and being down three scores.

Absolutely gutless wimps

 

Troy Clardy did ask him specifically about some of the 4th down calls tho. I will say, those questions are more hard-hitting than the softballs I'm used to seeing ACC coaches get in press conferences.

Yeah in the first half when things were going relatively well. Still a softball question.

"Coach, can you please walk us through your thinking on the sequence when you were 1st & goal inside the 5 in the fourth quarter?"
"Coach, why did you choose to kick a FG when you're down 3 scores with 10 minutes left in the game?"

Those would be some politely-worded non-softball questions that should have been asked
