Yes, you put the other team inside the 10.  But they have the ball with an opportunity to tie or win the game if you do.  If you kick the FG, you go ahead by 10 points, and make them score twice to beat you.  If you miss the FG, you give up 30 yards that you can give up in a play or two, as they did.

Just incredibly dumb, and college football fans across the country know it.

I'm guessing you're putting a heavy emphasis on the word "outsider" in your screen name today because Bay Area fans know this is what matters.

Without the special teams play (and the holding call), we would have been toast. Great that we won, but not a coaching clinic by any stretch. 

We will get killed by OSU this year. . . .

And FWIW, college football fans across the country weren't paying attention to the game, anyway.
