At his post-game presser...
1. Shaw took the tack of saying that the problem is the team doesn't know how to finish and had too many drops and poorly thrown balls;
2. He again trotted out his claim that we should have been up 21-0 against Cal. LOL!!!
3. He actually said, 'if you take the top ten plays in each of the last two games, we look like a good team.' LOL!!!
4. He said anyone can take shots at him now, but we'll be a lot better team next year.
5. In very vague terms, he hinted that he may be making some personnel changes.
He said NOTHING about the line on O or D and NOTHING about the D backs (other than praising McGill). If he thinks that with what we have left after the seniors graduate and the next class matriculates that we will have greatly improved O and D lines, well, I'll be very surprised if that were the case.
Overarching viewpoint he expressed again, we're not that much worse than teams with much better records than ours. Do you all buy that, or is he in denial about the depth and breath of the problem? I tend toward believing the latter.
As usual, he got all marshmallow questions from the assembled horde of about 5 writers.
