Absolutely, it's the forgotten game saving play. Of course today it would have been a fifteen yard penalty for being a horse collar tackle and Dallas would have been in field goal range.

Also Lawrence Pillers forcing Danny White's fumble and Jim Stuckey recovering it.

It was a great game. Interesting that Too Tall would make that comment, they lost 45-14 earlier in the season, the Niners outgaining Dallas 440 yards to 12. Montana's rating was 119.8 that game, Danny White's was 19.8.

Dallas was favored by three.  It was an ugly game.  Montana would throw three interceptions (two to Everson Walls, who led the NFL with 11 INTs), and the Niners fumbled three times (losing all three).  Dallas had four fumbles (two by Danny White) and an INT of their own.  Niners outgained Dallas 393 to 250, but were penalized 7 times for 106 yards to Dallas' 5 penalties for 39 yards.

Niners needed just six plays for a TD on the opening drive. Dwight Clark had 120 yards receiving, Freddie Solomon had 75.  Niners outgained the Cowboys and Tony Dorsett on the ground, 127 yards to 115.  Lott had an interception called back for PI.  Niner DL was unsung heroes, sacking White four times with 24 attempts.  Montana was sacked 3 times with 35 attempts.

A lot of no-names did well.  Lenvil Elliott (10/48 rushing), Earl Cooper (8/35), Bill Ring (6/27), TE Charlie Young (4 recpts. 45 yards).
