Jack Morris hold the record for the most consecutive opening days starts (14, from 1980-1993).  Eleven were with Detroit, one with Minnesota and two with the Blue Jays.

Met Jack Morris at the Oakland Airport after the 1987 All star game. Red eye back to Chicago, plane was delayed, which was nice after the extra inning game. I was chatting with his wife at the gate, and after a few minutes of silence, he asked me if I was a reporter. After I told him no, he joined the conversation. Seemed to be a pretty good guy, pretty intense, too.

You could have told him that like Charles Bronson in The Magnificent Seven you were an eccentric millionaire.
