I believe the first set of artillery forms a battalion, but I think the smaller initial number was specifically because they wanted to train them on the units.  I believe they are currently in Poland training, but they said it would only take a matter of days, likely learning the nuances between their current towed artillery.  With this recent amount, they now have 5 battalions worth of American artillery, which will be combined with many other countries who are also providing such.  The east of Ukraine is pretty flat and open, most of Ukraine is, but even more than Kyiv regions.  

I'm extremely curious about the new drones coming, which were specifically designed for the Ukrainians. Hopefully that means they will be effective at a long range, like the Switchblade 600's reportedly have, and hopefully they also can target heavy armor.
