Interesting analysis from The Athletic, looking at which teams drive viewership. Excluding teams in the SEC (including Texas and Oklahoma) and Big-Ten (including USC and UCLA) and Notre Dame, it looks at the 284 games that drew more than a million viewers between 2015 and 2019. Clemson and Florida State are the top two, but the next two teams are Washington and Oregon, followed by Miami and then, in a bit of a surprise, WSU. The top Big-12 team, Oklahoma St., is tied with the fourth biggest draw in the PAC-12, Utah. Stanford is next, though my guess is that most of the million viewers games came in 2015-2017 (the McCaffrey and Love years).
Still, by and large, PAC-12 teams tend to draw million viewers at a higher clip than Big-12 teams.
