I’ve always thought that the term “post” included both 4’s (power forwards) and 5’s (centers), just like the term “wing” includes both 2’s (shooting guards) and 3’s (small forwards).

Thus:
Guards: 1’s and 2’s
Wings: 2’s and 3’s
Forwards: 3’s and 4’s
Posts: 4’s and 5’s
