2) How many states don't have D1 football programs?  Who are they?  Nine states and the District of Columbia.  The states, in declining order of population are NH, ME, RI, MT, DE, SD, ND, AK and VT.
3) What is the largest state, by population, to have no D1 football programs? The largest is New Hampshire, with a population of 1,388,992.
4) What is the smallest state, by population, to have a team?  Wyoming, with 576,841 population.
