Agree BC  Note that Brink last season was listed as a Forward.  And introduced as a Forward.

Based on what Cam and her mom told us at the Awards Luncheon, Tara is putting her at power forward (not post) which means someone else will be in the middle.  Who that is?  Can only guess.

My point is that a power forward is commonly understood one of two “posts” on the floor.  Because the post refers to the area between the free throw line and the baseline (with the high post being the half closer to the free throw line and low post being closer to the basket), players who play in the post are called posts, almost always power forwards and centers.

some years back, i heard tara say that she usually played a 1-2-2 offense: one pg, 2 wings, 2 forward/posts. she may still say that; i don't know.

that said, as i understand, there is at times a difference between the 2 posts.  when we are playing high/low (where one post feeds the other), they are interchangeable, but when we have one player down low and 4 outside the 3-point line, there is a clear difference. cam and ashten are more often that 4th outside shooter, fran rarely.

also, in player-to-player defense, one of the posts gets assigned to the other team's back-to-the basket big, the other to the opponent's quicker, face-up big (when the other team's bigs are of different size and role).
