Something in the Merc today that, after the Regent's meeting, the UCLA move "may not be a done deal". All I could read was the headline. I doubt that's the way it will go, but you never know.

One regent makes waves with an off-hand comment and Cal fans cling to it like it’s the “Raft of the Medusa”.  While there may be a bone tossed to Berkeley in the form of some cash, the deal is done.  UCLA is in the Big Ten.  

Heck, one regent asked about the idea of moving Cal to Division 3.  That isn’t happening either.  

Regents are politicians.  Nothing more; nothing less.  To coin a phrase….  They go with the wind and right now the wind is blowing in the direction of Vichy (and we know how that turned out)…
