Pre-season Poll is out, and, as expected, Stanford is ranked #2. 

Top 6:  
1 - South Carolina -- 750 points (unanimous)
2 - Stanford -- 710 points  (no way to know how many #2, how many lower here, but you can get to 710 with 20 voting #2, 10 voting #3)
3 -- Texas -- 650 points
4 -- Iowa -- 643 points
5 -- Tennessee -- 617 points
6 -- UConn -- 596 points
...
19 -- Arizona -- 243 points
20 -- Oregon -- 206 points
26 -- Utah -- 35 points
27 -- UCLA -- 26

Wash State got 1 vote

That seems about right to me.  Texas may prove formidable, depending on how fast they "jell" all their talent.  UConn is hurt by Buecker's injury.  South Carolina remains the team to beat.  Tennessee is on the rise.  Iowa has Clark and Czinano coming back so should be as good or better than last year.

So many teams are so scrambled by transfers, though, that it is entirely possible that some team that few have noticed may climb high into the rankings once play actually starts.  This should be a less predictable year than most.

I expect 3 Pac-12 teams in the top ten of the final poll. And I expect Stanford to take down South Carolina in the championship game.

Positive thinking is always good, can build confidence!
